IF YOU CONFIRM

The gap between the top edge of the glove box and the instrument panel is more than normal

And/or

The glove box light stays on when the door is closed.

ACTION
Use the Service Procedure to adjust the glove box latch to reduce the clearance/close the door further.

The purpose of "ACTIONS" (above) is to give you a quick idea of the work you will be performing. You MUST closely follow the entire Service Procedure (starting on page 2) as it contains information that is essential to successfully completing the repair.

SERVICE PROCEDURE





1. Remove the two glove box latch screws.





2. Using thin double-sided tape or a small amount of glue (3M Weatherstrip adhesive or equivalent) attach one washer per side as spacers to the back side of the latch.

3. Install the latch and check the door fit.

^ If the fit is now OK operation is complete.

^ If the fit is still a bit loose repeat steps 1 - 3 above with the remaining two washers from the kit. NOTE: Do not use more than two washers per side (four washers total).
