P1705 THROTTLE POSITION SENSORDescription
Electric throttle control actuator consists of throttle control motor, accelerator pedal position sensor, throttle position sensor, etc. The actuator transmits a signal to the ECM, and ECM transmits signals to TCM with CAN communication.

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
NOTE: If "DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE" has been previously performed, always turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds before performing the next test.
After the repair, perform the following procedure to confirm the malfunction is eliminated.
1. CHECK DTC DETECTION
With CONSULT-III
1. Start the engine and let it idle for 1 second.
2. Perform "SELF-DIAG RESULTS" mode for "TRANSMISSION". Refer To, "CONSULT-III Function (TRANSMISSION)".Diagnosis Description With Manufacturer's Scan Tool
Is "P1705 TP SEN/CIRC A/T" detected?
YES >> Go to TM-146, "Diagnosis Procedure".
NO >> Check Intermittent incident. Refer to, "Intermittent Incident". Testing and Inspection
Diagnosis Procedure
1. CHECK DTC OF ECM
With CONSULT-III
1. Turn ignition switch ON.
2. Perform "SELF-DIAG RESULTS" mode for "ENGINE". Refer to EC-113, "CONSULT-III Function". Testing and Inspection
Is any DTC detected?
YES >> GO TO 2.
NO >> Check DTC detected item. Refer to EC-113, "CONSULT-III Function". Testing and Inspection
2. CHECK TCM POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT
Check TCM power supply and ground circuit. Refer to, "Diagnosis Procedure".
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> Replace the control valve with TCM.
NO >> Repair or replace damaged parts.
