IF YOU CONFIRM

A rattle noise coming form the upper corner of the windshield (left or right side).





NOTE:
Figure 1 shows the right side corner of the windshield. The rattle if it occurs may come from the left side or the right side corner.

ACTION

Apply two pieces of felt cloth tape to the A-pillar finisher as shown in the Service Procedure.

Submit a Primary Failed Part (PP) line claim using the claims coding shown.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

NOTE:
The photos in this Service Procedure are for the right side (passenger side) A-pillar. The A-pillar finisher for the left side is a mirror image of the right side.





1. Carefully remove (snap loose) the A-pillar finisher.

CAUTION:
The A-pillar finisher cloth may lightly stick to the windshield. If this occurs carefully pull it loose.





2. On the back side of the A-pillar finisher stick two pieces of felt cloth tape on the top rib as shown in Figures 3 and 4.

^ Stick the tape on the front edge of the rib (towards the windshield).

^ Stick the two pieces of tape on top of each other (stack them).

3. Test drive the vehicle to make sure the rattle is gone.
