OUTSIDE MIRROR ACTUATOR INOPERATIVE

IF YOU CONFIRM
The outside door mirror actuator is inoperative.
ACTION
Replace the door mirror actuator.
NOTE:
Do not replace the entire mirror assembly when an actuator will solve the incident, if it should occur.

IMPORTANT:
The purpose of "ACTIONS" (above) is to give you a quick idea of the work you will be performing. You MUST closely follow the entire Service Procedure as it contains information that is essential to successfully completing the repair.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1. Push the top of the mirror.
2. With your fingers;
a. Reach under the bottom of the mirror.
b. Carefully pull to unsnap the mirror from the actuator.
NOTE:
The mirror is held on with:
^ 4 clips
^ 2 hooks
3. Disconnect the 2 heated mirror connectors.
4. Remove 4 screws from actuator assembly.
CAUTION:
^ The electrical connectors shown in Figure 5 look similar (they will plug into each others locations) but they are not interchangeable.
^ Pay attention to the actuator orientation and connector location.
5. Install the new actuator.
a. Swap connectors from the old actuator to the new actuator (see Figure 5 below).
b. Reinstall the 4 screws (see Figure 4 above).
6. Reconnect the 2 heated mirror connectors.
7. Reinstall the mirror glass:
a. Insert the hooks at the top.
b. Press on the top area to "snap-in" the top clips.
b. While applying pressure (holding) the top,
c. Press on the bottom to "snap-in" the bottom clips.
8. Operate the mirror in all directions to confirm it is working correctly.
