Cylinder Head Assembly: Specifications

Cylinder Head Surface Distortion:
Standard Less than 0.03 mm (0.0012 in)
Limit 0.1 mm (0.004 in)

Cylinder Head Bolts Outer Diameter:





Whenever the size difference between (C) and (B) exceeds the limit, replace them with new one.





Limit [(C) - (B)] 0.18 mm (0.0071 in)

Cylinder Head Bolts:









Install cylinder head follow the steps below to tighten cylinder head bolts in numerical order as shown in the figure with cylinder head bolts wrench (commercial service tool).

Tighten 105 Nm (11 kg-m, 77 ft-lb)

Completely loosen in reverse order 0.0 Nm (0 kg-m, 0 ft-lb)

Tighten 40.0 Nm (4.1 kg-m, 30 ft-lb)

Turn 95 degrees clockwise (angle tightening)

Turn 95 degrees clockwise again (angle tightening).

Camshaft Bracket Bolts:





Tighten camshaft bracket bolts in the following steps, in numerical order as shown in the figure.

No. 7 to 10 1.96 Nm (0.20 kg-m, 1 ft-lb)

No. 1 to 6 1.96 Nm (0.20 kg-m, 1 ft-lb)

No. 1 to 10 5.88 Nm (0.60 kg-m, 4 ft-lb)

No. 1 to 10 10.4 Nm (1.1 kg-m, 8 ft-lb)
