R-12 A/C SYSTEM WARNING LABEL

AFFECTED VEHICLES

All Isuzu vehicles equipped with R-12 refrigerant A/C system sold to dealers after May 15, 1993.

SERVICE INFORMATION

A new Federal regulation requires that all vehicles wholesaled after May 15, 1993 which are equipped with R-12 refrigerant air conditioning system must have an R-12 warning label affixed to the vehicle. The R-12 warning label is shown in Figure 1.

NOTE
R-12 warning label is not required on vehicles whose R-12 A/C system was installed before May 15, but was wholesaled after May 15.

^ On vehicles with factory-installed or port-installed R-12 A/C systems, the R- 12 label has already been installed on the passenger window near the Monroney label.

^ R-12 A/C kits for dealer installation have a warning label provided with the kit. After A/C installation, the label must be affixed to the passenger window near the Monroney label. If the label is missing from the kit it may be ordered from AIPDN (see "Parts Information" section of this Service Bulletin).

Only the retail customer may remove this label; do not remove it unless requested to do so by the customer.
