Wiper Motor: Service and Repair

1. On models equipped with airbag system, refer to Technician Safety Information for system disarming and arming procedures.
2. Disconnect battery ground cable, then the wiper motor connector.
3. Remove wiper motor mounting screws.
4. Separate wiper motor from wiper linkage at crank arm.
5. Disconnect wiper arm nut cap, then remove wiper arm nut.
6. Remove cowl cover and wiper motor linkage.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Torque crank arm nut and wiper arm nut to 9-11 ft. lbs.
8. On models equipped with airbag system, refer to Technician Safety Information for system disarming and arming procedures.
