Blower Motor: Service and Repair

1. On models equipped with airbag system, refer to Technician Safety Information for system disarming and arming procedures.
2. Disconnect battery ground cable.
3. Remove glove compartment, then the lower glove compartment reinforcement brace.
4. Disconnect resistor electrical connector, then the air source select control cable.
5. Remove air duct between heater unit and blower unit.
6. On models with A/C, remove evaporator unit as outlined in Evaporator Core.
7. Remove blower motor retaining screws, then the blower motor.
8. Reverse procedure to install. Torque refrigerant line retaining nuts to 53 inch lbs.
9. On models equipped with airbag system, refer to Technician Safety Information for system disarming and arming procedures.
