Fuel Pressure Regulator: Service and Repair
CAUTION: Observe all fire hazard precautions detailed in FUEL SYSTEMS / SERVICE PRECAUTIONS, when working on open fuel systems.
Fuel system MUST be depressurized before disconnecting any fueling component.
Fuel Pressure Regulator And Fuel Rail:
1. Depressurize fuel system. Fuel Pressure Release
2. Place shop towels under regulator to catch fuel leakage.
3. Remove vacuum hose from regulator.
4. Remove fuel hose from regulator and position away from regulator.
5. Fit protective plugs to regulator and hose.
6. Disconnect union nut on fuel rail to regulator.
7. Remove nut securing regulator to mounting bracket and remove regulator.
8. Fit protective plugs to regulator and line.
9. Reverse steps to refit regulator.
10. Check for leaks.
