Monitoring Procedure
The intent of the diagnostic is to diagnose malfunctions in the ECM by monitoring the checksum. In this manner corrupted memory and program can be detected. The diagnostic can be minimally defined as; stored checksum does not equal calculated checksum.

NOTE:
- Due to the nature of this diagnostic the ECM shuts down and will not communicate with the scan tool, hence the code is not accessible without the use of Jaguar Diagnostic Equipment.

- Where an ECM is renewed ensure only a correctly, "PECUS" programmed unit, obtainable from Jaguar Dealerships, is fitted.
