Some 1995-96 MY Sedan Range vehicles equipped with 16 inch alloy wheels and accessory dust shields (Illustration 1) may experience a clicking noise from the front of the vehicle at low speeds. The noise may be caused by one dust shield rubbing against the alloy wheel.

ACTION:

After verifying a customer complaint of clicking from the front of the vehicle, determine on which side of vehicle the noise is apparent. Replace the dust shield on that wheel with a revised dust shield. In addition to the part number label, the revised dust shield can be identified by a wider flange with foam rubber blocks attached.
