Headlamp Wiper Motor: Description and Operation

The 2 speed wiper motor, mounted on the front bulkhead, drives the single wiper blade via a mechanical lever and crank assembly. Motor control is achieved by two relays, on/off and slow/fast, which are energized by the Body Processor Unit (BPU) according to inputs received from the column stalk switch. The motor assembly houses a park switch which maintains motor operation until a full cycle is completed, when the column switch is returned to the off position.
