Windshield Washer Pump: Description and Operation

The pump/motor unit, located on the side of the fluid reservoir and controlled by a relay is used to draw fluid from the common reservoir, through the associated pipework and deliver it to the screen wash jets on command from the Body Processor Unit (BPU). The fluid temperature is controlled by heater elements in the jets which are regulated by the ambient air sensor, located in the air intake duct.
