Y2: CHECK IAT SENSOR RANGE

Y1 RETRIEVE DTC

Note: Battery and or ECM disconnection prior to scanning will erase all data, ensure that the correct DTC is present.




2. Connect scan tool
3. Record DTC(s), freeze frame data and GO to Y2.

Y2 CHECK IAT SENSOR RANGE




3. With the MAF meter plug disconnected, check for an IAT sensor short at pins PI035/003 and PI035/004.
Resistance less than 100 Ohms?
Yes: Renew sensor (MAF meter assembly) and proceed to Y5.
No: Go to Y3

Y3 CHECK FOR SHORT TO B+




3. Measure the voltage between connector PI035/003 and ground (EM008L). B+?
Yes: Inspect harness/connector (PI001/057) short to B+ Repair as necessary and test the system for normal operation.
No: Go to Y4

Y4 CHECK SUPPLY VOLTAGE




3. Measure the voltage at connector between pins PI035/003 and PI035/004. Less than 5.5V?
Yes: Renew ECM and test the system for normal operation.
No: Reconnect PI035 (MAF meter), Go to Y5

Y5 END

1. Perform appropriate service drive cycle and check for the presence of DTC.
Has the fault code cleared?
Yes: STOP
No: Contact Jaguar Service
