A1: CHECK THE TR3A CIRCUIT AT THE TR SENSOR
1. LOCATE the J gate selector into the 'D' position.
2. Disconnect the TR sensor electrical connector GB6.
3. Measure the TR sensor resistance between GB6 pin 3, (W) and GB6 pin 2, (NY).
^ Is the resistance between 2 and 2.5 Ohms?
-> Yes
Goto [A2]
-> No
INSTALL a new TR sensor. CLEAR DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.
A2: CHECK THE GROUND SUPPLY TO THE TR3A CIRCUIT AT THE TR SENSOR
1. Switch the ignition to the RUN position.
2. Measure the resistance between the TR sensor electrical harness connector GB6 pin 2 (NY) and GROUND.
^ Is the resistance less than 0.5 Ohms?
-> Yes
Goto [A3]
-> No
REPAIR the GROUND supply circuit between GB6 pin 2 (NY) and GBS1. CLEAR DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.
A3: CHECK CONTINUITY OF THE TR3A VOLTAGE SUPPLY CIRCUIT
1. Switch the ignition to the OFF position.
2. Disconnect the PCM electrical connector GB1.
3. Measure the resistance between the TR sensor electrical harness connector GB6 pin 3, (W) and the PCM electrical connector GB1 pin 9, (W).
^ Is the resistance less than 0.5 Ohms?
-> Yes
INSTALL a new PCM. CLEAR DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.
-> No
REPAIR the circuit between the TR sensor electrical harness connector GB6 pin 3, (W) and the PCM electrical connector GB1 pin 9, (W). CLEAR DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.
