D: P0715, P0718-Insufficient input from turbine shaft speed sensor, turbine shaft speed sensor signal intermittent

D1: CHECK RESISTANCE OF TURBINE SHAFT SPEED SENSOR
1. Disconnect the turbine shaft speed sensor electrical connector GB11.
2. Measure the resistance between the turbine shaft speed sensor pin 1 and pin 2.
^ Is the resistance between 390 and 410 Ohms?
-> Yes
Go to [D2]
-> No
INSTALL a new turbine shaft speed sensor. CLEAR DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.

D2: CHECK THE GROUND SUPPLY TO THE TURBINE SHAFT SPEED SENSOR
1. Switch the ignition to the RUN position.
2. Measure the resistance between turbine shaft speed sensor electrical connector GB11 pin 2, (NW) and GROUND
^ Is the resistance less than 0.5 Ohms?
-> Yes
Goto [D3]
-> No
REPAIR the circuit between the GROUND supply electrical connector GIBS1 and the turbine shaft speed sensor electrical connector GB11 pin 2, (NW). CLEAR DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.

D3: CHECK THE CONTINUITY OF THE TURBINE SHAFT SPEED SENSOR GROUND CIRCUIT
1. Switch the ignition to the OFF position.
2. Measure the resistance between the GROUND supply electrical connector GBS11 and the turbine shaft speed sensor electrical connector GB11 pin 2, (NW).
^ Is the resistance less than 0.5 Ohms?
-> Yes
REPAIR the circuit between the GROUND supply electrical connector GBS1 and the turbine shaft speed sensor electrical connector GB11 pin 2, (NW). CLEAR DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.
-> No
Go to [D4]

D4: CHECK THE CONTINUITY OF THE TURBINE SHAFT SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL CIRCUIT
1. Disconnect the PCM electrical connector GB1.
2. Measure the resistance between the PCM electrical connector GB1 pin 27, (WP) and the turbine shaft speed sensor electrical connector GB11 pin 1, (WP).
^ Is the resistance less than 0.6 Ohms?
-> Yes
REPAIR the circuit between the PCM electrical connector GB1 pin 27, (WP) and the turbine shaft speed sensor electrical connector GB11 pin 1, (WP). CLEAR DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.
-> No

D5: CHECK THE TURBINE SHAFT SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO GROUND
1. Measure the resistance between the turbine shaft speed sensor electrical connector GB11 pin 1, (WP) and GROUND.
^ Is the resistance less than 0.5 Ohms?
-> Yes
REPAIR the circuit between the PCM electrical connector GB1 pin 27, (WP) and the turbine shaft speed sensor electrical connector GB11 pin 1, (WP). CLEAR DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.
-> No
INSTALL a new PCM. CLEAR DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.
