E1: CHECK RESISTANCE OF THE OUTPUT SPEED SENSOR
1. Disconnect the output speed sensor electrical connector GB11.
2. Measure the resistance between the output speed sensor pin 1 and pin 2.
^ Is the resistance between 390 and 410 Ohms?
-> Yes
Goto [E2]
-> No
INSTALL a new output speed sensor. CLEAR DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.

E2: CHECK THE GROUND SUPPLY TO THE OUTPUT SPEED SENSOR
1. Switch the ignition to the RUN position.
2. Measure the resistance between output speed sensor electrical connector GB9 pin 2, (NR) and GROUND
^ Is the resistance less than 0.5 Ohms?
-> Yes
Goto [E3]
-> No
REPAIR the circuit between the GROUND supply electrical connector GBS1 and the output speed sensor electrical connector GB9 pin 2, (NR). CLEAR DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.

E3: CHECK THE CONTINUITY OF THE OUTPUT SPEED SENSOR GROUND CIRCUIT
1. Switch the ignition to the OFF position.
2. Measure the resistance between the GROUND supply electrical connector GBS1 and the output speed sensor electrical connector GB9 pin 2, (NR).
^ Is the resistance less than 0.5 Ohms?
-> Yes
REPAIR the circuit between the GROUND supply electrical connector GBS1 and the output speed sensor electrical connector GB9 pin 2, (NR). CLEAR DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.
-> No
Goto [E4]

E4: CHECK THE CONTINUITY OF THE OUTPUT SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL CIRCUIT
1. Disconnect the PCM electrical connector GB1.
2. Measure the resistance between the PCM electrical connector GB1 pin 26, (WR) and the output speed sensor electrical connector GB9 pin 1, (WR).
^ Is the resistance less than 0.5 Ohms?
-> Yes
REPAIR the circuit between the PCM electrical connector GB1 pin 26, (WR) and the output speed sensor electrical connector GB9 pin 1, (WR). CLEAR DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.
-> No
Goto [E5]

E6: CHECK THE OUTPUT SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO GROUND
1. Measure the resistance between the output speed sensor electrical connector GB9 pin 1, (WR) and GROUND.
^ Is the resistance less than 0.5 Ohms?
-> Yes
REPAIR the circuit between the PCM electrical connector GB1 pin 26, (WR) and the output speed sensor electrical connector GB9 pin 1, (WR). CLEAR DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.
-> No
INSTALL a new PCM. CLEAR DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.
