Front Seats

All front seats have electric height adjustment. In addition, both front seats are available with power forward and rearward adjustment, 10 way electric adjustment to include lumbar support when equipped, memory controlled 8 way adjustment on driver seat. A side air bag module is installed in the outer squab wing of each front seat. Each seat has a handed, one piece frame incorporating cushion and squab frame, side air bag support bracket and seat adjuster mechanisms. Switchpacks are installed on the outer side of the driver and passenger seats, and the control module is installed in the base of the driver seat. Both driver and passenger seats are retained to the vehicle floorpan at four points.

The operation of the seats is controlled by a bi-directional switch. Vehicles equipped with the full 10 way power seat functionality are controlled by a multifunction control switch. In each case the switches are mounted on the outer cushion wing of the seats within easy access of the seated occupant.

The bi-directional switch controls the operation of a single bi-directional motor which depending on switch operation will either operate the motor to raise height or lower height through a series of mechanical linkages.

Seats with full power 10 way adjustment are able to adjust the seat position through any one of the five different motors. Each seat function is controlled by a single multifunction switch which in turn operates the bi-directional motor of the selected adjustment feature to achieve:
- Up/Down seat adjustment; The front and rear section of the lower part of the operating switch is lifted or depressed to operate the bi-directional motor which in turn raises or lowers the seat to the required position.
- Forward/Rearward seat adjustment; The lower section of the operating switch is moved in the required direction of seat travel, this in turn operates a bi-directional motor which moves the seat along the seat runner through a mechanical worm drive to the required position.
- Seat backrest position adjustment; The upper section of the operating switch is moved forwards or rearwards to increase or decrease the amount the backrest position, this in turn operates a bi-directional motor which moves the position of the backrest through a direct drive to a recline mechanism, which are mounted on each side of the seat backrest base.
- Seat backrest lumbar adjustment; The upper section of the operating switch is moved forwards or rearwards to increase or decrease the amount of lumbar support, this in turn operates a bi-directional motor which acts upon a cable which is connected to the lumbar support basket. The basket is made up of a frame which is able to take on a convex form when the lever which is attached to the motor drive cable is moved to contract the frame. When the motor operates in its opposite plain the frame retracts reducing the amount of lumbar support.

Rear Seats

The standard rear seat is of a bench type with full width removable cushion. Cup holders (if equipped) are installed to the front of the rear seat cushion. The rear seats squab is split 60/40 to allow larger loads to be accommodated.
