Sensor - Passenger Weight Sensing 76.73.60

Removal
1. Remove the passenger front seat.
2. Remove the passenger front seat control module.
3. Remove the passenger powered seat switchpack.







4. Remove the seat pan retaining nuts.







5 Detach the kickplate trim pad cover.
- Detach the retaining clip.







6. Disconnect the seat squab heater element electrical connector.







7. Detach the weight sensing control module.







8. Remove and discard the weight sensing control module and rivets.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.







9. Disconnect the pressure sensor electrical connector.







10. Detach the seat adjustment electrical connectors and the seat belt buckle electrical connector.







11. Disconnect the seat adjustment electrical connectors and the seat belt buckle electrical connector.







12. Detach the seat wiring harness.







13. Remove the seat cushion.







14. Detach the seat cushion cover.
- Remove and discard the hog rings.
- Detach the retaining clips.







15. Remove the seat switch pack bezel retaining screws.







16. Remove the seat pan.







17. Remove and discard the silicon filled bladder and pressure sensor.







18. Remove and discard the switchpack bezel retaining staples.







19. Detach the seat cushion cover.







20. Remove the seat cushion cover.
- Remove and discard the hog rings.

Installation







1. Align the service kit template to the rear of the seat kickplate.


2. NOTE: Make sure that all the swarf is removed from the seat.


Drill the new holes for the weight sensing control module and electrical connector.







3. Loosely install the passenger weight sensing service kit.
- Install the service kit wiring harness through the seat pan.







4. Install the silicon filled bladder retaining clips and tie wrap.







5. Install the seat switchpack bezel retaining screws.







6. Install the seat cushion cover.







7. NOTE: Install new hog rings.


Attach the seat cushion cover.







8. NOTE: Install new staples.


Attach the seat cushion cover.







9. NOTE: Install new hog rings.


Attach the seat cushion.







10. Attach the seat wiring harness.







11. Attach the seat cushion.







12. Install the seat pan retaining nuts.
- Tighten to 18 Nm.







13. Using a suitable electrical insulating tape, cover and secure the unused pressure sensor electrical connector to the seat frame.







14. Connect the weight sensing control module harness wiring electrical connector.







15. NOTE: Install new rivets.


Install the weight sensing control module and electrical connector to the seat kickplate.







16. Connect the seat adjustment electrical connectors and the seat belt buckle electrical connector.







17. Attach the seat adjustment electrical connectors and the seat belt buckle electrical connector







18. Connect the seat heater element electrical connector.







19. Install the kickplate trim pad cover.
20. Install the passenger powered seat switchpack.
21. Install the passenger front seat control module.
22. Install the passenger front seat.
23. Initialize the system.
