Fuel Tank and Lines

1. Verify the customer concern by operating the system.
2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical or electrical damage.

Visual Inspection Chart

Mechanical Electrical
Damaged fuel lines. Inertia fuel shutoff (IFS) switch.
Damaged push connect fittings. Loose or corroded electrical connectors.
Fuel leaks. Fuel pump module
Damaged fuel tank filler pipe cap. Fuse(s)
Damaged fuel tank filler pipe. -

3. If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding to the next step.
4. If the concern is not visually evident, verify the symptom and refer to Jaguar Approved Diagnostic System.
