Muffler

Removal
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Service and Repair





2. Loosen the rear muffler exhaust clamp nut.





3. Detach the front muffler exhaust hanger insulator.





4. Remove the front muffler.
- Remove and discard the gasket.


Installation





CAUTION: The exhaust hanger insulators are constructed of a special material. Use only the correct specification exhaust hanger insulators.

NOTE: Check the exhaust hanger insulators for damage or fatigue. Install new exhaust hanger insulators if required.

NOTE: Make sure the front muffler does not foul the underside of the vehicle.

NOTE: Install a new gasket.

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Tighten to 55 Nm.





2. Tighten nut to 55 Nm.
