N : P0111, P0112, P0113. IAT SENSOR

N1 : CHECK CONTINUITY OF THE INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE (IAT) SENSOR POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT

1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
2. Disconnect the MAF sensor electrical connector EN6.
3. Disconnect the PCM electrical connector EN16.
4. Measure the resistance between the MAF sensor electrical connector EN6 pin 4 (O) and the PCM electrical connector EN16, pin 71 (O).

Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
Goto N2

No
REPAIR the circuit. For additional information, refer to the wiring diagrams. CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation.

N2 : CHECK CONTINUITY OF THE IAT SENSOR CIRCUIT

1. Measure the resistance between the MAF sensor electrical connector EN6 pin 5 (BG) and the PCM electrical connector EN16, pin 19 (BG).

Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
Goto N4

No
REPAIR the circuit. For additional information, refer to the wiring diagrams. CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation.

N3 : CHECK THE IAT SENSOR CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO BATTERY

1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
2. Disconnect the MAF sensor electrical connector EN6.
3. Check for a voltage between EN6 pin 5 (BG) and GROUND.

Is the voltage greater than 1 volt?
Yes
Goto N1

No
INSTALL a new MAF sensor. CLEAR the DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.

N4 : CHECK THE IAT SENSOR POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO GROUND

1. Measure the resistance between the MAF sensor electrical connector EN6 pin 4 (O) and GROUND.

Is the resistance less than 10,000 ohms?
Yes
REPAIR the short to GROUND. For additional information, refer to the wiring diagrams. CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation.

No
Goto N5

N5 : CHECK THE IAT SENSOR GROUND CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO BATTERY

1. Connect the PCM electrical connector, EN16.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
3. Check for voltage at EN6 pin 5 (BG)

Is the voltage greater than 1 volt?
Yes
REPAIR the short circuit. For additional information, refer to the wiring diagrams. CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation.

No
INSTALL a new MAF sensor. CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation. If the DTC is repeated, INSTALL a new PCM. Before replacing a PCM, contact Dealer technical support.
