Locking or Unlatching Issues - Diagnostic Information

Issue:

This bulletin provides information to aid in the diagnosis of door locking or unlatching issues.

Action:

Please refer to the procedure and care points below. If electrical testing of the latching and security system is required, use the appropriate test installed on the Worldwide Diagnostic System (WDS).

Note:
When replacing a latch assembly, please ensure that the following components are also ordered and replaced:

Retaining clip (Latch to rod) - C2S 20460,
Fishmouth seal - C2S 1738.
Plus when changing a front latch, also refit Foam insert water seal - C2S 23569.

Note:
To ensure deadlock latches or central lock latches are correct to specification, check part numbers using Jaguar Electronic Parts Catalogue (JEPC).
