Squeaks & Rattles - Service Kit - Guidelines for Usage
Issue:
A Squeaks & Rattles Kit is now available for Service use. It contains foams, tapes, oil, grease and an aerosol spray. The oil, grease and spray contain Krytox(R) in handy applicators and quantities.
The contents of the kits are listed with the uses for the various products.
Action:
The Krytox(R) oil, grease or spray should be applied sparingly to the target area. Only a small quantity will be required for most applications - typically a maximum of 4 grams/sq. metre. This may be spread to cover larger surfaces by cloth, brush or sponge, leaving a very thin film of the material on the surface.
Note:
Use great care during application to ensure that Krytox(R) is NOT applied to any surface to which any other trim component is to be attached using adhesives. The product is EXTREMELY RESISTANT to adhesives.
Use care that the product is not spread inadvertently by contact with cloths, brushes or sponges used during any application, or by residue on the technician's fingers.
If using Krytox(R) products for squeak rectification in areas such as seats, facia or centre console, use great care to eliminate any chance of the vehicle users' clothing or hands coming into contact with any residues of the fluid or grease.

Warranty Information:
When the Aerosol Spray JLM 21207 is used, a maximum Sundry allowance of 10% of the cost of the spray can may be claimed on any claim involving a Squeaks and Rattles concern which is successfully rectified using this item.
When using items from the Oil & Grease Kit or Foam & Tape Kit, divide the cost of the kit by 24 or 48 respectively, thus providing the average cost per piece in each kit. This cost may then be recovered by entering the appropriate amount, for the number of pieces used, as a Sundry allowance.
Claims must be submitted in accordance with the currently published Jaguar Warranty Policy and Procedures Manual and its Amendments.
