F : THROTTLE CONTROL POSITION ERROR. P1224.

F1 : CHECK THROTTLE CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR CONTINUITY

1. Disconnect throttle motor electrical connector EN10.
2. Disconnect PCM electrical connector EN16.
3. Measure the resistance between PCM electrical connector EN16 pin 80 (G) and throttle motor electrical connector EN10 pin 2 (G).

Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
Go to F2

No
REPAIR the circuit between PCM electrical connector EN16 pin 80 (G) and throttle motor electrical connector EN10 pin 2 (G). For additional information, refer to wiring diagrams. CLEAR the DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.

F2 : CHECK THROTTLE CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR CONTINUITY

1. Measure the resistance between PCM electrical connector EN16 pin 106 (R) and throttle motor electrical connector EN10 pin 1 (R).

Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
INSTALL a new PCM. CLEAR the DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.

No
REPAIR the circuit between PCM electrical connector EN16 pin 106 (R) and throttle motor electrical connector EN10 pin 1 (R). For additional information, refer to wiring diagrams. CLEAR the DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.
