N : P0111. IAT SENSOR
G92429t86 : CHECK CONTINUITY OF THE INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE (IAT) SENSOR POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
2. Disconnect the MAF sensor electrical connector ENS.
3. Disconnect the ECM electrical connector EN16.
4. Measure the resistance between the MAF sensor electrical connector ENS pin 4 (0) and the ECM electrical connector EN16, pin 71 (0).
- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
-> Yes
-> No
REPAIR the circuit. CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation.
G92429t87 : CHECK CONTINUITY OF THE IAT SENSOR CIRCUIT
1. Measure the resistance between the MAF sensor electrical connector ENS pin 5 (BG) and the ECM electrical connector EN16, pin 19 (BG).
- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
-> Yes
-> No
REPAIR the circuit. CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation.
G92429t189 : CHECK THE IAT SENSOR CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO BATTERY
1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
2. Disconnect the MAF sensor electrical connector ENS.
3. Check for a voltage between ENS pin 5 (BG) and GROUND.
- Is the voltage greater than 1 volt?
-> Yes
-> No
INSTALL a new MAF sensor. CLEAR the DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.
G92429188 : CHECK THE IAT SENSOR POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO GROUND
1. Measure the resistance between the MAF sensor electrical connector ENS pin 4 (0) and GROUND.
- Is the resistance less than 10,000 ohms?
-> Yes
REPAIR the short to GROUND. CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation.
-> No
G92429t89 : CHECK THE IAT SENSOR GROUND CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO BATTERY
1. Connect the ECM electrical connector, EN16.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
3. Check for voltage at ENS pin 5 (BG)
- Is the voltage greater than 1 volt?
-> Yes
REPAIR the short circuit. CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation.
-> No
INSTALL a new MAF sensor. CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation. If the DTC is repeated, INSTALL a new ECM. Before replacing an ECM, contact dealer technical support.
