Inspection and Verification
1. Verify the customer concern.
2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical or electrical damage.

1. If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding to the next step.
2. If the cause is not visually evident, verify the symptom and refer to the Jaguar approved diagnostic system.
3. The DTC summaries are generated to support the Jaguar approved diagnostic system, but also provide the basis for diagnosis of OBD related concerns using a suitable generic scan tool, in conjunction with the electrical guides. Until the DTC summaries and electrical guides are available, the speed control system can only be accurately diagnosed using the Jaguar approved diagnostic system.
