Passenger Seat Heater Intermittent Fault

Replace Seat Heater Control Switch
Issue:
Some 2002-05 X-TYPE vehicles within the above VIN range, may exhibit intermittent
operation of the front passenger seat heater, especially at low ambients (sub zero °C).
Cause:
Software in the front passenger seat control switch (level 16).
Action:
In case of a customer complaint of the above condition, check if the front passenger seat control switch has level 16 on the label. If so, install a new front passenger seat control switch with software level 17 (see Global Technical Reference GTR Workshop Manual, section 501-10).
