Situation:

For information only: to ensure correct replacement, the rear brake calipers are identified with a manufacturing code on the caliper.

Action:

In the event it becomes necessary to replace a rear brake caliper, refer to the Inspection Procedure below.

Please refer to EPC for the correct part numbers required for each vehicle variant.

NOTE:
EPC will display the superseded part numbers.

NOTE:
This bulletin is only for the rear brake calipers and for the vehicles between the specified VINs above.

1. Before ordering or replacing a rear brake caliper, carefully check the vehicle's current rear brake calipers for the presence of a manufacturing code.

^ If the vehicle's rear brake calipers have no manufacturing code, both rear brake calipers must be replaced.

^ If the vehicle has only one rear brake caliper with a manufacturing code, only the rear brake caliper with no marking needs to be replaced.
