CONDITION SUMMARY:

KNOCKING NOISE FROM FRONT SUSPENSION

A customer may report a concern of a knocking noise coming from the front suspension when driving over uneven ground.

Situation:
The stabilizer bar drop link bushing may be displaced from the rear lower arm of the front suspension.

Action:
Should a customer report this concern, and a bushing has been confirmed displaced, refer to the Re~air Procedure referenced in this bulletin to install a new rear lower arm to the front suspension.

NOTE:
GTR lookup sequence is as follows: GTR Home > NAS > Service Information/X200 - S-TYPE/2006 > Workshop Manuals > S-TYPE 2002 -- Workshop Manual > Bookmark "Chassis/Suspension/204-01: Front Suspension" link "Rear Lower Arm (60.35.54)"

1. Refer to Global Technical Reference (GTR) section 204-01 operation 60.35.54 and install a new rear lower arm to the front suspension.
