Manifold Pressure/Vacuum Sensor: Service and Repair
Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor - Vehicles With: Supercharger (18.30.86)
Removal
All vehicles
1. Remove the engine cover.
2. Remove the cowl vent screen.
NOTE: Left-hand shown, right-hand similar.
3. Remove the engine compartment supports.
4. Loosen the throttle body intake pipe retaining clip.
5. Detach the air filter outlet pipe
6. Remove the throttle body intake pipe.
- Detach the throttle body intake pipe.
- Remove the throttle body intake pipe.
NOTE: Right-hand drive vehicles shown, left-hand drive vehicles similar.
7. Remove the engine compartment outer panel insulation.
Right-hand drive vehicles
1. Remove the engine compartment outer panel.
Left-hand drive vehicles
1. Remove the engine compartment outer access panel.
All vehicles
NOTE: Right-hand drive vehicles shown, left-hand drive vehicles similar.
1. Remove the cabin air filter.
- Detach the cabin air filter.
- Remove the cabin air filter.
NOTE: Right-hand drive vehicles shown, left-hand drive vehicles similar.
2. Remove the cabin filter housing.
- Remove the cabin filter housing retaining nuts.
- Remove the cabin filter housing.
NOTE: Right-hand drive vehicles shown, left-hand drive vehicles similar.
3. Detach the engine compartment outer panel.
- Remove the engine compartment outer panel retaining bolt.
- Detach the engine compartment outer panel.
4. Remove the engine compartment outer panel.
- Detach the hood release cable.
5. Remove the engine compartment supports spacing plate.
6. Detach the engine compartment inner panel insulation.
NOTE: Right-hand drive vehicles shown, left-hand drive vehicles similar.
7. Remove the left-hand engine compartment inner panel.
NOTE: Left-hand drive vehicles shown, right-hand drive vehicles similar.
8. Remove the right-hand engine compartment inner panel.
9. Disconnect the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor electrical connector.
10. Remove the MAP sensor.
Installation
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Tighten to 10 Nm.
NOTE: Left-hand shown, right-hand similar.
2. Tighten to 25 Nm.
