D : Throttle Control Position Error. P1224.

D1 : CHECK THROTTLE CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR CONTINUITY.
1. Disconnect throttle motor electrical connector, PI18.
2. Disconnect PCM electrical connector, EN1.
3. Measure the resistance between PCM electrical connector EN1, pin 80 (GW) and throttle motor electrical connector PI18, pin 2 (GW)

Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?

Yes
Goto D2

No
REPAIR the circuit between PCM electrical connector EN1, pin 80 (GW) and throttle motor electrical connector PI18, pin 2 (GW) For additional information, refer to wiring diagrams. CLEAR the DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.

D2 : CHECK THROTTLE CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR CONTINUITY.
1. Measure the resistance between PCM electrical connector EN1, pin 106 (RW) and throttle motor electrical connector PI18, pin 1 (RW)

Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?

Yes
INSTALL a new PCM.

No
REPAIR the circuit between PCM electrical connector EN1, pin 106 (RW) and throttle motor electrical connector PI18, pin 1 (RW) For additional information, refer to wiring diagrams. CLEAR the DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.
