The nature of aluminium means operatives must pay particular attention to:

Inhalation
Technicians should ensure:
- Local extraction equipment is used as detailed by the Jaguar Equipment Programme. Equipment must be operated in accordance with manufacturers specifications.
- Approved face-masks as detailed by the Jaguar Equipment Programme are used in accordance with manufacturers operation instructions (dust and welding fumes).

Skin contact
Technicians should ensure the use of:
- Approved clothing.
- Approved face-mask (eyes and skin).
- Approved hand protection equipment.

Ignition
Particulate size aluminium dust can result in combustion if exposed to flame or spark. Particular attention should be made by all staff in the workshop to be aware of this hazard. All tools should be approved for use in these conditions.
