Inspection and Verification
1. Verify the customer concern.
2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of damage and system integrity.

Mechanical Electrical
- Integrated audio module - Fuses
- Information and - Loose or corroded
entertainment module connector(s)
- Audio amplifier - Integrated audio module
- Compact disc player - Information and
jammed, not loading entertainment module
- Scratched/dirty compact - Audio amplifier
discs
- Speakers - Speakers

3. If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding to the next step.
4. If the cause is not visually evident, check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and refer to the DTC Index.
