Front Seat Backrest

Removal
1 Make the air bag supplemental restraint system (SRS) safe. For additional information, refer to Standard Workshop Practices Standard Workshop Practices
2 Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Battery Disconnect and Connect Battery Disconnect and Connect
3 Remove the front seat. For additional information, refer to Front Seat Removal and Replacement

WARNING: This step requires the aid of another technician.
CAUTION: Take extra care when handling the component.
Remove the front seat backrest assembly.
5 Remove the front seat backrest cover. For additional information, refer to Front Seat Backrest Cover Front Seat Backrest Cover
6 Remove the backrest halo panel.
- Release the 5 wiring harness clips.

NOTE:
Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.
Remove the front seat recliner motor. For additional information, refer to Front Seat Recliner Motor
8 Remove the lumbar assembly. For additional information, refer to Lumbar Assembly
9 Remove the front seat head restraint motor. For additional information, refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Motor

Installation





1 To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- TORQUE: 35 Nm
2 If a new component has been installed, configure using Jaguar approved diagnostic equipment.
