Knock Sensor: Service and Repair

Knock Sensor (KS)

Removal
1 Remove the cover and disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Specifications [1][2]Battery
2 Remove the intake manifold. For additional information, refer to Intake Manifold




3 Remove the KS.
- Remove the 2 nuts.

Installation
1 Install the KS.
- Tighten the nuts to 20 Nm (15 lb.ft).
2 Install the intake manifold. For additional information, refer to Intake Manifold
3 Connect the battery ground cable and install the cover. For additional information, refer to Specifications [1][2]Battery
