Procedure 9 - Replace All Blind Feet

REPAIR PROCEDURE 9: V00477 - V10049

NOTE:
V00477 V06000: replace all blind feet;

NOTE:
V06001 V10049: replace rear blind feet only if juddering (refer to repair procedure 14).

NOTE:
Headliner shown installed; procedure may be performed with the headliner lowered.

NOTE:
Refer to Repair Procedure 10, steps 1, 2, 3, 4, 23, 24, 29, and 30 for blind feet installation assistance.





NOTE:
Figure depicts the installation position of the blind feet.

1. Turn ignition 'ON'.





2. Open the Panoramic roof opening panel to the full tilt position.

3. Open the Panoramic roof rear blind.

4. Turn ignition 'OFF'.





5. Release the center headliner section:

^ Release the three clips.





6. Release the Panoramic roof front blind:

^ Rotate the blind upwards to release the blind from the blind feet.

^ Allow the blind to retract slowly into the void above the headliner.

CAUTION:
If any blind foot is broken, ensure all debris is removed from the blind guide.





7. Remove the front sun roof blind feet: (RH shown, LH similar)

^ Note the position of the blind feet prior to removal.

^ Firmly pull the RH blind foot towards the center of the vehicle.

8. Repeat step 6 to the LH blind foot.

CAUTION:
The blind feet are 'handed' (LH / RH) and marked as such; ensure the blind feet are installed in the correct position Failure to follow this may result in damage to the vehicle.

NOTE"
The Panoramic roof front and rear blind feet are installed to opposite sides of the vehicle The front blind LH foot is installed to the RH side of the vehicle; the front blind RH foot is installed to the LH side of the vehicle.





9. Install the RH blind foot: (rear shown, front similar)

^ Locate the blind foot dove tail onto the peg.

^ Press firmly into place (a click should be heard).

^ Using gentle pressure, make sure the foot is correctly located and cannot move (forward, backward, or sideways).

10. Repeat step 9 to the LH blind foot.

CAUTION:
If the blind feet are incorrectly oriented, the locking tabs will break when the roller blind draw bar is rotated on installation.

NOTE:
Glass panel removed for clarity.





11. Position the blind for installation:

^ Pull out the blind and rotate to the position shown A.

^ Position the blind above the clip as shown B.

CAUTION:
Excessive force will cause the blind feet to break.

NOTE:
Do not allow blind spring tension to push inward against the blind feet when installing the roller blind draw bar onto the blind feet.

NOTE:
The blind foot trough must remain in line with the draw bar channel bead.





12. Secure the blind to the blind feet.

^ Locate the blind into the blind foot.

^ Apply gentle pressure.

13. Repeat step 11 to opposite blind foot.

^ Rotate the blind down to locate onto the blind feet.





CAUTION:
The blind feet are 'handed' (LH / RH) and marked as such; ensure the blind feet are installed in the correct position Failure to follow this may result in damage to the vehicle.

NOTE:
The front and rear Panoramic roof blind feet are installed to opposite sides of the vehicle The rear blind LH foot is installed to the LH side of the vehicle; the rear blind RH foot is installed to the RH side of the vehicle.

14. Perform steps 1 - 12 to the Panoramic roof rear blind.

15. Secure the headliner.

^ Secure the three clips.

16. Verify Panoramic roof front and rear blind operation.

^ If the rear blind is 'juddering', perform Repair Procedure 14, Degrease the Rear Guides.

17. Continue to next appropriate Repair Procedure.
