Procedure 11 - Remove Cassette Mounting Nuts, Glass Alignment Pegs

REPAIR PROCEDURE 11: V00477- V08100

NOTE:
V08101 - V10285 only if full headliner has been lowered.








1. Verify Panoramic roof cassette front and rear mounting studs are centered.

^ Remove the two front mounting nuts.

^ If necessary, use a suitable socket and extension bar to bend the two front mounting studs until centered in the holes

^ Install the two front mounting nuts:

^ Tighten to 5.4Nm (4.0lbf ft).

^ If present, remove and discard the two rear nuts.

^ If necessary, use a suitable socket and extension bar to bend the two rear mounting studs until centered in the holes.

CAUTION:
Ensure the alignment pegs do not protrude through the slot in the body.

NOTE:
Apply a small amount of grease to the inside of the socket to prevent the broken peg from remaining in the vehicle.





2. Use a suitable socket and extension bar to remove the front windshield locating pegs.

CAUTION:
Ensure the alignment pegs do not protrude through the slot in the body.





3. Repeat step 2 to the rear windshield locating pegs.





4. Remove screw (RH) in [A]:

^ Check and remove any glue residue from screw or Panoramic roof cassette.

^ Install screw; tighten to specified torque value.

^ Repeat for LH screw.

^ Tighten screws in [B] to specified torque values.





5. Tighten screws in [C] and [D] to specified torque values.





6. Tighten screws to specified torque value.

7. Continue to next appropriate Repair Procedure.
