Rear Drive Halfshafts

INTRODUCTION
The rear drive halfshafts are of unequal length and both inner and outer joints are of the CV (constant velocity) type, with plunging inboard and fixed outboard capability allowing for suspension movement.
Dust shields are installed on the inner CV (constant velocity) joints to protect the connections with the differential.
The inner and outer CV (constant velocity) joints are linked by a solid bar halfshaft. The outer CV (constant velocity) joint is a spline interferance-fit into the wheel hub. The inner CV (constant velocity) joint is of a spline slide-fit arrangement and is retained in the differential with the aid of a spring clip.
