B194B-POWER LIFTGATE REAR ZONE SWITCH CIRCUIT LOW

- When Monitored:
Whenever the Power Liftgate Module is awake.

- Set Condition:
When the Power Liftgate Module senses a voltage of less than 1.0 volts on the (G29) Liftgate Switch Signal circuit for longer than 10 seconds, this code will set.





Diagnostic Test

1. DTC PRESENT
With the scan tool, record DTC's.
Erase DTCs.
Turn the ignition off, wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition on.
Operate the liftgate several times from the rear switch.
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display B194B-POWER LIFTGATE REAR ZONE SWITCH CIRCUIT LOW?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors for an intermittent condition.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.

2. LIFTGATE REAR SWITCH SHORTED




Disconnect the Liftgate Rear Switch connector.
Erase DTCs.
Turn the ignition off, wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool display B194B-POWER LIFTGATE REAR ZONE SWITCH CIRCUIT LOW?

Yes

- Go To 3

No

- Replace the Liftgate Rear Switch.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.

3. (G29) LIFTGATE SWITCH SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND




Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Power Liftgate Module C2 harness connector.
Measure the resistance between ground and the (G29) Liftgate Switch Signal circuit.
Is the resistance below 10,000.0 ohms?

Yes

- Repair the (G29) Liftgate Switch Signal circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.

No

- Replace the Power Liftgate Module.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
