B1D24(DDM), B1D30(PDM) - MIRROR HORIZONTAL MOTOR CONTROL CIRCUIT HIGH

- When Monitored:
When the Mirror Horizontal Driver Output is turned on.

- Set Condition:
DTC B1D24 - If the Driver Door Module senses voltage on the (P75) Driver Mirror Horizontal Driver circuit within 10 ms of turning on the Mirror Horizontal Driver Output.

DTC B1D30 - If the Passenger Door Module senses voltage on the (P74) Passenger Mirror Horizontal Driver circuit within 10 ms of turning on the Mirror Horizontal Driver Output.





NOTE: This procedure addresses the Driver Memory Mirror system's circuits and components and the Passenger Memory Mirror system's circuits and components. Select only that which applies to the system you are diagnosing.

Diagnostic Test

1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs.
Operate the Mirror Switch in all directions several times.
Cycle the ignition from on to off 3 times.
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display: B1D24 or B1D30 MIRROR HORIZONTAL MOTOR CONTROL CIRCUIT HIGH?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.

2. TEST FOR A SHORTED OUTSIDE REARVIEW MIRROR




For the Driver Memory Mirror System, proceed as follows:
- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the Driver Outside Rearview Mirror connector.
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
- Operate the Mirror Switch in all directions several times.
- Cycle the ignition from on to off 3 times.
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.

For the Passenger Memory Mirror System, proceed as follows:
- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the Passenger Outside Rearview Mirror connector.
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
- Operate the Mirror Switch in all directions several times.
- Cycle the ignition from on to off 3 times.
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.

Does the scan tool display: B1D24 or B1D30 MIRROR HORIZONTAL MOTOR CONTROL CIRCUIT HIGH?

Yes

- Go To 3

No

- Replace the Outside Rearview Mirror.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.

3. CHECK THE (P75) DRIVER MIRROR HORIZONTAL DRIVER CIRCUIT OR THE (P74) PASSENGER MIRROR HORIZONTAL DRIVER CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE




For the Driver Memory Mirror System, proceed as follows:
- Disconnect the Driver Door Module C2 connector.
- Measure the voltage of the (P75) Driver Mirror Horizontal Driver circuit at the Driver Door Module C2 connector.

For the Passenger Memory Mirror System, proceed as follows:
- Disconnect the Passenger Door Module C2 connector.
- Measure the voltage of the (P74) Passenger Mirror Horizontal Driver circuit at the Passenger Door Module C2 connector.

Is the voltage above 0.2 volts?

Yes, Driver Mirror

- Repair the (P75) Driver Mirror Horizontal Driver circuit for a short to voltage.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.

Yes, Passenger Mirror

- Repair the (P74) Passenger Mirror Horizontal Driver circuit for a short to voltage.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.

No, Driver Mirror

- Replace the Driver Door Module.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.

No, Passenger Mirror

- Replace the Passenger Door Module.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
