License Plate Lamp: Service and Repair
REMOVE1. Disconnect the battery negative lead.

2. Remove the two self-tapping screws and washers.
3. Detach the lamp assembly.
4. Disconnect the bulb holder and remove the bulb.
NOTE: Carefully pull the electrical leads out of the bottom of the lower tailgate panel to reveal the snap connectors.
5. Disconnect the electrical connections located at the bottom of the lower tailgate.
6. Remove the bulb holder.
7. Carefully pull the electrical leads up through the inside of the lower tailgate panels.
REFIT
1. Reverse the removal procedure. The correct bulb type is a 12-volt, 5 watt wedge base (capless).
