DETAIL

New security Torx fixings have been introduced coincidental with SRS to prevent unauthorized tampering. Full details of the new Torx fixings and applications are detailed in the workshop manual. Dealers should ensure that tool kits are upgraded accordingly to include these two new Torx bits, the TX30H security Torx bit featuring a central drilling to register with the pin in the female screw head and an E10 external Torx bit. These tools should be available from your local specialist tool suppliers.

NOTE
The workshop manual section 76 SRS system makes reference to the fact that the security screws located in the rear of an SRS steering wheel should be discarded. This information is incorrect as the screws are retained in the assembly and CANNOT be completely removed, therefore please update your manual until such time that new pages are released.
