WARRANTY REPAIR AUTHORIZATIONS

We are further simplifying the process of obtaining authorization for warranty repairs.

The unscheduled labor time limit has increased from 2 hours to 4 hours before an authorization is required. This increase will allow you to perform more repairs and submit claims quickly.

Also, SRS repairs have been moved to the Prior Consultation area so one call to the HelpLine will give us the information we need and give you an authorization number for the claim.

The only warranty repairs which require authorization have been reduced to:

Unscheduled Labor Over 4 hours
Paint Defect Repairs Over $250
Corrosion Perforation Warranty Repairs

Requests for Authorization should be sent by fax to 301-731-9814. We have added a second FAX machine to this line in response to some feedback that it was busy too often. The latest version of the Request for Authorization form is included.

We think these changes will simplify your work and speed our response time.
