Pressure Discharge and Disconnecting

PRESSURE DISCHARGE AND DISCONNECTING

NOTE:
Elapsed time for complete pressure discharge of the system may take as long as 2 minutes, depending on the amount of fuel in the tank.

1. Insert blue pressure release hose into exhaust evacuation pipe.

2. Rotate control panel valve to "Pressure Release" position and using TestBook open the EVAPS canister vent solenoid.

3. Observe pressure gauge and wait until it reads "0" in. H2O.

4. Rotate control panel valve to "Off/Hold" position.

5. Close nitrogen cylinder valve.

6. If used on Discovery vehicles, disconnect EVAPS service port adapter.

7. Disconnect red EDS hose.
