Headlight Bulb Failure

SITUATION:

PREMATURE HEADLIGHT BULB FAILURE

The customer may complain of a headlight bulb failure relatively early in the life of the vehicle.

RESOLUTION:

REPLACE BULBS WITH NEW LONG LIFE BULB

A long life service headlight bulb (XZQ000011) is now available from Land Rover Parts as a replacement bulb. Upon customer complaint of premature bulb failure, follow repair procedure below.

If one bulb fails, all four bulbs must be replaced at the same time.

REPAIR PROCEDURE





1. Remove and replace all 4 bulbs with long life service replacement bulb (XZQ000011)

2. Ensure the bulb access covers are correctly installed with the arrow on the cover aligned with the dot on the housing after a bulb change. Refer to Technical Bulletin 86/05/04/NAS.
