Comfort Start Output Drive - Short To Battery.

P0617 - Comfort start output drive fault.: Last occurrence - maximum signal

Possible causes:
1. Short circuit C0606/12 (BG) - battery.
2. Connectors C0606, C0179.
3. Starter motor relay.

1. Short circuit C0606/12 (BG) - battery.
SHORT_CIRCUIT
Check resistance < 5.0 Ohms.

2. Connectors C0606, C0179.
CONNECTOR
Check for connector not correctly latched, backed out pins, damaged pins, corroded pins

3. Starter motor relay.
RELAY
Check for relay not correctly seated, backed out pins, damaged pins, corroded pins, relay coil open circuit, faulty relay contacts, ensure power & ground feeds to relay coil are present and that the relay is energised.
