E-Box Temperature Sensor

E-Box Temperature Sensor

the E-Box has a separate temperature sensor. the sensor is an NTC type and is used to control the E-box fan. When the temperature in the E-box is above a predetermined value (35°) the sensor provides a switched ground for the E-box fan. the fan is used to cool the ECUs located within the E-box.

the ECM briefly activates the E-box fan at every engine start-up This is done to prevent the motor seizing up due to lack of use.
