AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:
Discovery Series II (LT) VIN Range: XA900000 to XA907214
XA200507 to 4A870624

Situation:

LABOR TIME HAS CHANGED FOR ABS MODULATOR ASSEMBLY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
Land Rover engineering has recently studied the service procedures for removing and installing the Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) modulator assembly on Discovery Series II models. Errors in the original repair time have been corrected to provide a more accurate time allowance. No process changes have been made.

RESOLUTION:

INCORPORATE NEW LABOR TIME
Should it become necessary to remove and install an ABS modulator assembly on a Series II Discovery, refer to the Repair Procedure detailed in this bulletin to remove and install the ABS modulator assembly.

PARTS INFORMATION:
No parts required. Information purposes only.

WARRANTY CLAIMS:

NOTE: The SRO 70.65.49 old labor time of 1.40 hours has been superseded by the new labor time of 1.00 hours.

Table 1 lists additional service operations for Discovery Series II (LT) vehicles, having Rover V8 engines, that now have new labor times as a result of this ABS removal and installation labor time change.

Repair procedures are under constant review, and therefore times are subject to change; those quoted here must be taken as guidance only. Always refer to DDW to obtain the latest repair time.

DDW requires the use of causal part numbers. Labor only claims must show the causal part number with a quantity of zero.

Normal warranty policy and procedures apply.
