CONDITION SUMMARY:

DOOR SPEAKERS INOPERATIVE AT VEHICLE PREPARATION

During the Vehicle Preparation process it may be discovered that the front door speakers on both the passenger and drivers side of the vehicle are inoperative. If this fault is encountered, follow the repair procedure in this Alert to identify correct amplifier installation in production.

Material allowance is included in labor operation.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

CAUTION:
Fiber optics require special care and handling. The care points in the Workshop Manual must be observed.

DETERMINE CORRECT AMP AND REPLACE IF INDICATED





1. If the drivers and passengers door speakers are determined to be inoperative during the Vehicle Preparation process, inspect the audio amplifiers located under the RH front seat, and verify that the correct amplifier is installed: (Figure 1)

^ HSE models - Logic7 amplifier should be black - part number XQK500093

^ SE models - High line [non-Logic7] amplifier should be silver-part number XQK500103

2. If installation of the wrong amplifier is verified, obtain the correct audio amplifier.





3. Refer to GTR section 86.50.36 and installed the proper amplifier into the vehicle. (Figure 2)
